My Design Competition Entries . . . and a Freebie
I think that a HUGE shout out to the Commercial Use designers in the digi-scrap world is necessary right about now . . . this is the store category that you probably completely skip, because it says commercial use. These designers do a lot of the heavy lifting such as extracting pretty much everything and creating styles and tools that allow us newbies to create pretty things. Without these resources, I wouldn’t have been able to put together a 60 piece element pack in under four days.
Today voting is live for Round Three. A quick recap of my submissions so far (pssst, freebie at the end):
Round One - Create a design name, kit theme and color palette, name it, describe it and create official kit packaging.
In the digi-world, my user name has been PageFrocks forever . . . almost. I designed under that name briefly over a decade ago and have just kept it. However, not everyone “gets” the name. I thought it was super clever - Page (layout) + Frocks (clothing) = “Dress Up Your Layout” tag line. Get it? So, to simplify things, I went original - I used my own name for the design packaging. And quickly realize no one knows that Lori Fortini = PageFrocks and vice versa. So heyyyyyyyyy . . . it’s me!
Round Two - Create pattern and solid papers using the color palette and theme outlined in Round One.
Round Three: Create elements using the color palette and theme outlined in Round One.
For this round, I added a small Word Art freebie that coordinates with this kit. It includes a title, three word strips and a super cute, puffy heart sticker.
